Paul and Marlene Picton started Maverick Chocolate in 2013 with the goal of bringing ethical and delicious chocolate to Cincinnati. Maverick Chocolate has a factory and retail store located in the historic Findlay Market. The company has grown from the two founders to seven employees. Marlene is a graduate of the Ecole Chocolat Bean-to-Bar program. Paul was previously employed as the Sales Director for a multinational jet engine company. Paul has thirty years experience in the aviation field before leaving in 2013 to start Maverick Chocolate.
